01

Who we are

FishermanDex is made by OzcorpIT Proprietary Ltd, an Australian company. Using the app or the website means you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, don't use the service.

02

The rules data is a guide, not the law

Size, bag and season figures are researched from official state sources and dated, but they are not legal advice and not a substitute for your state's current fishing rules. Rules change between our checks. You are responsible for complying with the law where you fish. Always confirm against the official source, which every rules panel links.

03

Safety information carries no guarantee

Croc sightings, shark detections and community reports come from government feeds and from other anglers. They are incomplete by nature: an empty map never means safe water. Make safety decisions from official warnings and your own judgement, not from this app.

04

Forecasts are forecasts

Bite windows, tides and weather readings are estimates built from published data. They are not a promise of fish or of conditions. Check official forecasts before going out, especially offshore.

05

Subscriptions and purchases

The core safety and rules features are free. The Full Dex subscription is $4.99 a month or $39.99 a year, billed through the app store you bought it in or through our web checkout (Stripe, via RevenueCat). It renews until you cancel; cancel any time in your store's subscription settings or from the link in your receipt, and you keep access for the period already paid. AI Analyser credit is a one-off $5 top-up, consumed per scan. Refunds follow the store's policy or, for web purchases, our obligations under the Australian Consumer Law, which these terms never exclude.

06

Your content

Catches, photos and reports you add stay yours. You give us the licence needed to store and show them inside the service, according to the sharing choices you make. Post only what you have the right to post, and keep safety reports honest: a false croc or shark report can put people in danger, and we remove such reports and can close the account that filed them.

07

Fair use of the service

Don't abuse the service: no scraping the dataset for republication, no probing or disrupting the infrastructure, no using another angler's account, no unlawful content. We can suspend or close accounts that do.

08

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on the app's data, from fishing decisions, or from service interruptions. Nothing in these terms excludes rights and guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

09

Ending and changing things

You can delete your account at any time from Profile; deletion is immediate and permanent. We may update these terms as the service changes; the date above moves when we do, and material changes are announced in the app. These terms are governed by Australian law.

Wet hands, quick photo, back she goes. Keep what you'll eat, leave the rest, and stay croc-wise up north. The Dex counts a release the same as a keeper.
